Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine

April Allen is a trained practitioner in the field of Oriental Medicine. 

She has studied and practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) since 1989.  After finishing her undergraduate requirements, she completed a four-year Oriental medicine program at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, OR and finished her clinical internship through the Midwest Center of Oriental Medicine in Racine, WI. She is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and professionally licensed in the State of Michigan.

April’s sensitivity of touch inspired and led her to the use of qi, vital energy, diagnosis and a primary tool in therapy.  She integrates touch diagnosis with the piecing together of individual signs and symptoms to design a unique treatment plan for you.  Her practice includes a variety of treatment modalities including acupuncture, herbal counseling, feng shui principles, as well as nutrition and lifestyle counseling from an Eastern point of view.
